Indigo Creek
The streams in the southwest portion of the state are some of the most special streams I have been able to paddle and spend time around. Priscilla has been doing work with others who find the area worthy of protection.
Some of these rivers are accessible to most everyone who has their own gear and ability to navigate the terrain and whitewater.

Others require planning, effort, and luck.

There are a few places we have come across that are unlike anywhere else we have been - some of the most spectacular being located in the Illinois drainage.

If you have the means, this is a great area to go paddling in.
